We've (finally) figured out details for the Friday Night Welcome Reception:
Ten Ton Photo Studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yards at 7:00pm.
IMPORTANT: If you are attending this party, please bring identification. The security is pretty tight, and they say they will not let people in without identification.
We'll have delicious Brooklyn Brick Oven pizza and equally delicious beer and wine in celebration of our wedding and Halloween (the holiday responsible for televising horror movies all month long!). Dress is totally casual, or delightfully costumed. (Bryan and I will be dressed only as ourselves, though the Grump will be in costume.)
Directions:
The entrance to the Navy Yard is at 63 Flushing Ave (at Clinton) in Brooklyn. Just inside the gates, you will see a (spooky) guard - who will ask for your name. You will give it to him, and in return, be allowed to enter the Navy Yard. After the gate, you will have to make a left or right. Make a left. Follow that road for a "block" or two, and you will see a sign that says 280. Park anywhere nearby. Enter where you see Elevator 59.

I don't think the streets inside are well-labeled. So use the arrows wisely.
